History & Impact

Dr. Roger W. Moss (1940-2025) was the former Executive Director of The Athenaeum of Philadelphia and a former adjunct professor at the University of Pennsylvania. His legacy of historic preservation inspires the historic Athenaeum to host a gathering and exchange of information and culture in the Society Hill Neighborhood.

For 2024, The Athenaeum of Philadelphia collaborated with Collage Philadelphia, a small arts group, to create a series of programming and events honoring the medium of collage. Scouting internationally for exhibition artists and guest speakers, The Athenaeum curated independent and established artists and tastemakers to dissect the history and future of collage.
